Hays is looking for a **Senior Accountant** in **Zaventem**:
**What you'll be doing**:
- Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports
- Document financial transactions for several legal entities
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents and ensuring that financial statements and records comply with laws and regulations
- Support external statutory and fiscal audits
- Guide to accounting staff by coordinating activities, providing training, and answering questions
- Develop procedures and controls to ensure accuracy and standardize and/or simplify processes
**What we're looking for**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in accounting with strong knowledge of BE GAAP and year-end closing
- Fluency in **French **or **Dutch **and **English**:
- Experience working with financial software and Excel
- Passionate about finance
- Able to adapt quickly to changes and handle multiple priorities concurrently
- Analytical, accurate, and have strong data-gathering skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a great communicator
- Experience working in a multinational company
