Context:
Objective:
To provide an answer on requirements expressed by the business in the context of GDPR, security, risk, compliance, our client wants to put solutions in place to govern the unstructured data throughout its full lifecycle. This unstructured data governs requires solutions for Data Classification, Data Discovery, Storage of Confidential/Secret unstructured data, Data Leakage Prevention, (Automated) Data Deletion after retention, Access Management, Security Controls, and reporting.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- The Data Architect embodies the data architecture capability of the entity. He/she ensures that the data solution supports the business requirements.
- They are responsible for the design, development and implementation of “TARGET” architectures, to execute our client’s strategy taking into account “AS-IS” capabilities.
- They should leverage the best standard practices available on the market and our client reference architecture.
- Develops and maintains strong working relationships with peers across the IT organisation and business partner’s organization (particularly the Data Office and the Security teams)
Mission Execution:
- Provide a holistic view on the different solutions required to govern unstructured data
- Assess tools and solutions that support the governance of unstructured data
- Recommend the choice of solutions consistent with the existing IT landscape, for addressing the required capabilities
- Support the creation of roadmap to implement the required capabilities, based on priority
- Support in the definition of acceptance criteria
Mission outcome:
- A solution architecture definition (formalized in an SAD document)
- The Technology Usage Viewpoints and the Identity & Access Viewpoints formalized in an Archimate blueprint (using Sparx
- Enterprise Architect as modelling tool), following our client modelling standards
- Presentation and validation of the recommended architecture by the Architecture Review Board (providing a Building Permit as outcome)
**Your profile**:
- Demonstrate experience with storage solutions for unstructured data
- Demonstrate experience with the governance of unstructured data
- Know the market of tools and platforms for managing unstructured data
- Have experience designing architectures of solutions running on cloud platforms
- Strong expertise in data architecture concepts and practices
- Have expertise in Archimate modelling
- Be familiar with architecture frameworks, methodologies, and tools (e.g. The Open Group Architecture Framework [TOGAF], DAMA DMBOK)
- Have the ability to see the big picture as well as deep dive into details when necessary
- Possess a university degree/college diploma in related discipline(s) and/or 10 to 15 years’ experience in the IT industry
- Possess solid communication skills, both written and oral (English mandatory, French and/or Dutch recommended)
- Demonstrate solid consulting and client management skills
- Be energetic, personable, and achievement
