Senior Project Manager

Language Delivery & Operations

Overall Purpose

Manages all types of language projects, including highly

complex or critical accounts, to implement solutions to

clients that result in excellent customer satisfaction,

retention and ultimately repeat revenue growth. Applies

deep project management and product/solution experience

to meet project requirements, ensuring the efficient and

effective implementation of the project.

French & English Language skills required - Any

additional languages are welcome

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence - Delivers all types of projects,

especially for complex projects, new accounts and/or new

business. Manages all facets of the project, including

more complex factors (e.g., multiple components, complex

requirements, stakeholder maps, multi-program/large

portfolio accounts.) Works with manager and

technologists on set ups and/or configurations. Is the

main contact for the customer and ensures all aspects of

the project are meeting agreed objectives. Leads project

teams in executing project deliverables, resolving

issues and handling customer relations.

Delivers Quality, Value and Results - Applies deep

project management expertise and customer knowledge to

complex and/or new projects to ensure clear expectations

are set, an effective course of action is in place, and

timeline and profitability goals are met. Works closely

with the project team and customer to proactively

monitor and adjust complex aspects of the plan to ensure

success. Independently resolves most issues and/or

quickly escalates to the appropriate person following it

to resolution.

Functional Excellence - Identifies opportunities for

improvement and potential solutions, especially across

broad and complex processes that have a significant

impact on customer satisfaction and loyalty. Develops

opportunities to grow services and solutions in existing

accounts. Helps to develop expertise within the project

management function by coaching and mentoring others and

providing performance feedback.

Relationship Building - Develops positive customer

relationships and serves as the main point of contact.

Partners with internal organizations to ensure effective

communication and coordination of activities

Additional Job Specific Responsibilities

Team Leader

At times, employees will be required to perform various

people management responsibilities. The specific

responsibilities and the time allocated to each are

determined on a case-by-case basis based on business

needs. Typically, the more senior the role, the greater

amount of people management responsibilities and

allocated time.

People management responsibilities include, but are not

**limited to the following**:
Administration and Reporting

Resource scheduling - arranges back-ups, manages

overtime and absences, administrative tasks to manage

paid leaves and vacations

Monitoring and reporting on people KPIs - overtime

hours, time/utilization status against project

codes/tasks.

Facilitates local resources - obtains PCs/required

equipment, coordinates systems access, arranges

desk/office space.

Performance Management
- Overtime/utilization - monitors overtime/utilization

via reports, identifies issues/causes of excessive

overtime and takes/recommends corrective action.
- Goals and objectives - helps to set and/or clarify

performance objectives.
- Feedback and coaching - provides on-going feedback and

coaching to improve performance, identifies and

addresses/escalates performance issues.
- Appraisals - provides input on performance review.

Learning and Development
- Learning - identifies required training for new and

existing team members, helps to secure learning

programs/resources, and coordinates the delivery of

on-site and/or virtual learning.
- Professional Development - provides feedback and

suggestions on appropriate developmental activities,

coordinates on-the-job development, and facilitates

networking and participation in developmental projects

Recruitment and On Boarding
- Staff planning - identifies resourcing issues and

raises to management, helps to create accurate staffing

plans.

input on recruitment advertisements.
- On-boarding - mentors new hires, administers new hire

process, ensures new hire has necessary equipment in a

timely fashion, coordinates learning, and arranges

introductory meetings with colleagues
