**What you'll do**
- Develop and implement government affairs strategies to achieve Cytiva’s policy objectives regarding EU institutions and key countries within Europe, especially the UK and Sweden.
- Provide up to date insight and analysis of relevant policy issues within Europe to senior global leaders within the Cytiva business and to Danaher Corporation colleagues where relevant.
- Work with senior colleagues across the business to understand the impact of particular policies on the business, as well as identify policy barriers and proactive opportunities for the business.
- Led on Cytiva’s trade association engagement to ensure our voice is heard in these crucial forums.
- Responsible for developing strong and consistent relationships with key political, policy, and industry stakeholders.
- Ensure Cytiva is compliant with all relevant lobbying legislation and anti-trust policies within trade associations.
- You will understand and infuse the highly successful Danaher Business System into your work and collaborate across multiple DHR Operating Companies, outside of Cytiva.

**Who you are**:

- Long standing experience of working on government affairs issues in the life sciences sector at a senior level. With proven experience of working with senior business colleagues in multiple geographies to develop and implement successful government affairs programmes and campaigns.
- Significant knowledge of government affairs issues and policy making processes as they relate to life sciences manufacturing, both in Brussels and in major markets in Europe.
- Strong network of relationships with government officials, industry and other stakeholders that are influential in Brussels, and the demonstrable ability to develop these in major markets.

**It would be a plus if you can demonstrate**:

- Analytical skills: the ability to digest significant volumes of data from multiple sources and draw conclusions / summarize thematically.
- Confident communication skills: experience of working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex topics in an easy-to-understand manner; able to deliver messages effectively verbally and in writing; strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with challenges.
- Adaptable/flexible: being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations.
