**US Army in Belgium is an American government agency whose mission is to provide logístical and administrative support to the US personnel at NATO and SHAPE in Belgium.

**Description de la fonction
**- Plan and prepare well-balanced, nutritious meals and seasonal cycle menus for children taking into consideration produce in season and changes in meal patterns.
- Peel, chop, cut, weigh, measure, and assemble ingredients for regular and modified menu items.
- Maintain an inventory of food supplies in accordance with scheduled needs.
- Complete required paperwork and pick up food orders from the Commissary.
- Maintain a daily inventory of food items, and complete Department of Agriculture food forms.
- Operate a variety of kitchen equipment.
- Follow safety procedures regarding the operation of equipment.
- Is responsible for the sanitary condition of the kitchen and the equipment assuring stringent safety, health and sanitary practices are followed.

**Description du profil
**- Ability to work independently without immediately available supervisor.
- Knowledge of food preparation recipes, proportion control, and nutritional value.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions and understand written food service material.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic computations.
- Skills in planning, coordinating, and timing.

The applicant must be able to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 40 lbs; and occasionally lift or move objects weighing over 60 lbs with the assistance of lifting devices or other workers.

Applicants must demonstrate one year of professional experience in related field OR possess a diploma in the related field.
