Working within ABB, the Account Manager develops, implements and updates the account strategy for the Belgian market of the entire portfolio of the Electrification Distribution business (distribution automation products, MV switchgear, modular substations, etc). You are the first point of contact for the customer (energy distribution companies, industry, transport and infrastructure). In this role, you will coordinate sales activities, creating added value for the customer and ABB, with a clear focus on increasing market share, profitability and customer satisfaction ABB's Distribution Solutions Division provides utility, industrial and commercial customers with safe, smart and sustainable technologies for the distribution of electricity. With ABB AbilityTM enabled digital solutions at its core, our extensive portfolio includes distribution automation products, switching, limiting, measuring and sensing devices, switchgear, modular substation packages, and related services.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Building and maintaining long-term professional customer relationships,
- including regular customer visits and participation or organization of
- customer events
- Taking care of the further expansion of our customer base
- Continuous market analysis by developing and updating market and
- product knowledge, gaining insights into customer structures and organizations,
- identifying and following up on opportunities with customers
- Realizing revenues with assigned customers
- Analyzing customer needs and developing proposals independently
- or in collaboration with the sales support team.
- Negotiate price and contract terms with customers.
- Coordinating sales projects in cooperation with installers.
**Your background**:
- Higher technical education (e.g. In the direction of electrical/energy engineering)
- You have minimum 5 years of technical-commercial experience, preferably in the electro-technical industry
- You combine strong commercial insight and a result-oriented attitude with the necessary relational skills to develop and manage relationships with customers
- You are enthusiastic, stress resistant and a real team player
- Good command of the Dutch, French and English language in word and writing
