The **Inventory Manager **leads the PIC Analytics team responsible for development, testing, simulation, and implementation of cutting-edge service parts inventory management practices. The focus of this leadership position is on developing and promoting the continued innovation in our modeling and decision-making. The PIC Analytics team has a strong, cohesive, collaborative culture and is looking for a thoughtful, conscientious leader who builds trust by putting people first and achieves success by enabling and developing their team.

This position will be responsible for leadership and direction on many data-driven research initiatives and simulation efforts. Among others it includes two major initiatives. The first is the roadmap for incorporating machine-learning and other predictive modeling outputs into our more traditional stocking recommendations. The second is concepting systems and methodology for reconciliation of multiple demand signals into a single ordering strategy.

In our Aftermarket Parts Distribution network our goal is to get the right part to the right place at the right time. The Aftermarket Parts Distribution team supports our dealers through the Parts Distribution network to get parts to our customers as quickly, efficiently, and safely as possible. We cover a wide variety of areas from demand planning and inventory management to dealer order support and receiving, storage and shipping operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Enabling technical development of Data Scientists in SAS, Python, Snowflake, Dataiku, and other relevant tools
- Developing parts business knowledge, project management skills, leadership skills, and communication/presentations skills in more senior Data Scientists and Analytics Project Leaders
- Assignment and prioritization of research, data requests, and simulation work on the PIC Analytics team
- Direction and guidance for research project teams. This includes chartering new projects, setting goals and scope for new projects, monitoring progress/timelines, providing feedback and input on analysis, and redirecting project focus, goals, and priorities as needed
- Work with PIC Support partners on root-cause analysis for Dealer parts inventory management concerns and problems. Provide guidance for investigation, problem solving, solution modeling, simulations, and implementation of change. Subject matter expertise on PIC inventory management settings, calculations, and algorithms
- Work with and assist PIC Systems team to develop and maintain data structures and reports that we own, influence, or have created
- As needed, interface with PIC Support and Dealer Inventory Management teams to communicate PIC Analytics simulation and investigation output data or findings. Also as needed, interface with PIC Support and Dealer Inventory Management teams on new initiatives or inventory management concepts to be piloted and implemented in PIC
- Regularly update PIC Support Managers and other stakeholders on PIC Analytics project status and findings.

**Basic Requirements**:

- 8 (plus) years of job-related experience
- Inventory management expertise
- Leadership experience
- First-hand experience with large-scale data analysis, modeling, simulations
- User programming experience (SAS, Python, SQL, etc.)
- Experience in a dealer-facing role
- Experience with Snowflake
