**Disclaimer**:
The position will require several days a week of physical presence in the Brussels office of our customer, therefore you need to live at a reasonable distance from Brussels.
The position is open for both freelance or payroll options and it's potentially a long term mission (min 6 months, can last longer)
**Job description**:
As experienced back-end developer, you will play a central role in this team and your key activities & responsibilities will be:
- be proactive and involved in a scrum/agile team
- focus on coding and testing activities
- peer review the code
- challenge architecture and requirements
- collaborate actively with front-end developers
- share your knowledge and support other team members
**Technology Stack**:
**Mandatory**:
- Java + spring Boot + Maven
- Hibernate + Flyway

- (These are the requirements for our customer and the current mission, but if you want to join DCode payroll, you will also need to manage Python ecosystem & frameworks.)_
Even if your core competences are in the back-end side, you understand the front-end side too, and if you have some of the following competences, it will be a strong advantage for you:
- HTML / CSS,
- Javascript, preferably Typescript,
- Angular, React and/or other front-end frameworks
You are a experienced Developer... Therefore in-depth understanding of the following software development concepts have no secrets for you:
- Onion (j.Palermo) & hexagonal (A.Cockburn) architectures
- DRY, SOLID, YAGNI, KISS principles are you daily mantras
- In general: "Clean Code", "Clean Architecture" and "The Pragmatic Programmer" are your books of choice during your holidays.
Bonus points if you master concepts like:
- Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Data-Driven Development (DDD)
**Languages**:
At least one of French and/or Dutch is mandatory.
English, if not required by our client is considered by us almost as mandatory (between the line reading: If you don't read or speak English, than you will need to compensate with other competences).
