Als u een passie hebt voor datawetenschap en AI, is Belfius de ideale onderneming waar u uw talenten kunt ontplooien. In het Data Lab gaat u werken aan transversale projecten. U maakt gebruik van data van verschillende types (interne én externe - gestructureerde én ongestructureerde) om bestaande use cases te verbeteren en nieuwe use cases op te starten; bankdiensten en verzekeringen worden daarbij gecombineerd. Uw toepassingsgebied kan alle bank
- en verzekeringsactiviteiten bestrijken: marketing, compliance, risk, fraude, ALM, procesautomatisering,U krijgt alle vrijheid om creatief om te gaan met projecten, niets ligt definitief vast.
Uw verantwoordelijkheden:
- Opbouwen/verbeteren van voorspellende modellen met behulp van statistische technieken en machine learning;
- Uitwerken, analyseren en interpreteren van businesshypotheses en benutten van datasets via het gebruik van de beschikbare tools;
- Aanbevelen van ideeën aan de business wanneer er data/resultaten beschikbaar zijn aan de hand van visualisaties / voorspellende algoritmes;
- Gebruikers helpen om inzicht te verwerven in de principes van datawetenschap en wanneer nodig toelichtingen geven bij de gedragingen van het model en mogelijke corrigerende acties.

Werken in het Data lab en deel uitmaken van de Data & Analytics-afdeling van Belfius betekent dat u lid wordt van een jong, vernieuwend en dynamisch team. Het Data Lab werkt op IT-vlak samen met het team van ML-engineering om ML-projecten E2E te realiseren. De individuele ontwikkeling van onze werknemers is erg belangrijk. **Wat verwachten we van jou?**:
- Master of doctor in de wetenschappen met uitstekende academische resultaten op technisch gebied (econometrie, computerwetenschappen, fysica, artificiële intelligentie, e.a.), maar dit kan worden vervangen door uitmuntende capaciteiten;
- Deskundig op het gebied van technieken van machine learning en bereid om die kennis up-to-date te houden. U bezit een diepgaande kennis van algoritmes zoals Random Forests, Neural Networks, MCMC en reinforcement learning. Eerdere ervaring met Natural Language Processing is een bonus;
- Sterke programmeervaardigheden in Python en SQL zijn een must. Ervaring met Spark en met libraries/tools voor visualisatie (zoals Plotly/Dash) is een pluspunt. Als u noties van cloud hebt, bij voorkeur op Azure met Databricks, onderscheidt u zichzelf;
- U hebt ervaring met het verklaren van complexe analyses aan een niet-technisch publiek aan de hand van uw verhalende competenties en uw capaciteit om data te visualiseren. U beschikt over uitmuntende mondelinge en schriftelijke communicatievaardigheden op technisch en businessniveau ;
- Vlot gebruik van Nederlands of Frans, met passieve kennis van de andere taal, en Engels.

- Bent u hongerig naar kennis. Niet alleen om nieuwe algoritmes en technologieën te beheersen, maar ook op interpersoonlijk vlak. U bent zich ervan bewust dat de waarde van uw werk neerkomt op kwaliteit x acceptatie en u wilt sleutelen aan beide aspecten. U hebt een aangetoonde capaciteit om feedback te geven, te vragen en te verwerken;
