**The Role**

**Background**

Within the Service division of Compressor Technique, our strategic focus is to achieve optimal availability of components and services such that our clients can be serviced adequately and in time. As we are heavily investing in IoT and digital services, we focus on digital acceleration by connecting compressors to the cloud.

Today we have more than 200,000 compressors connected to the cloud which are generating valuable data to optimize service intervals and increase sales leads. To successfully deliver the daily demand for 10,000 aftermarket orders we rely on a strong organization of the supply chain therefore it is crucial to continuously invest in existing and new supplier relationships and product innovations.

**Mission**

You are responsible for supplier relationship management for service products in our IoT portfolio on hardware and software i.e. gateways, sensors, IoT connectivity platforms and mobile communication agreements. In this role, you explore and optimize new and existing supply chains considering 6 pillars of purchasing excellence: total cost, quality, logistics, products & process development, contracting and sustainability.

**Tasks and responsibilities**
- You develop a solid purchasing strategy in line with the divisional targets to contribute to optimized customer service
- You gain knowledge on different commodities: electronics development and manufacturing, wireless communicating protocols, mobile communications, and cloud platforms
- You actively participate in projects for aftermarket compressors and compressor rooms to meet project budgets and timings
- You source potential new suppliers by evaluating their commercial, technical and supply chain capabilities, according to the business code of Atlas Copco
- You lead negotiations with suppliers on the renewal of supply agreements
- You work on savings and availability projects by conducting market research and benchmarking the supply base by analyzing value creation opportunities and potential supplier risks
- You work closely with SQA engineers on supplier quality performance and identify potential improvements
- You evaluate logístical performance to safeguard deliveries to customers

You will join an inclusive team of Buyers and Business Process Experts and report directly to the Team Leader

**What we expect of you?**

**Experience and technical requirements**
- You have a master’s degree in engineering or business or experience in supply chain management
- You are fluent in English, a good understanding of other European languages is a plus
- You are passionate about innovation and technology including, sensors, gateways, cloud and telecom platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Office 365 (including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint) is required, knowledge of AS400 and SAP is a plus
