**_EU Institutions: Enterprise Architect_**

Join our client’s Brussels team as an Enterprise Architect, leading the evolution of CCN2 architecture.

Collaborate with stakeholders, review technical documents, and propose/approve solutions aligned with DG TAXUD’s reference architecture. Manage CCN2 activities, study new technologies, and enforce organizational procedures.

Manage the technical portfolio, engage with stakeholders, and address issues in the modernization process, including DEVSECOPS and cloud technologies. Collaborate with the CCN2 Project Manager, handle incidents, and contribute to other projects. Communication of changes occurs during the execution of the Specific Contract with TIMEA3 contractor.

**YOUR TASKS**
- Supervision and advisory on the current CCN2 architecture and its evolution
- Report to the IT Platforms Portfolio officer and CI owner
- Assist and coordinate with the CCN2 Project Manager in all project-related tasks
- Liaise with Business IT Project managers and other TAXUD teams and subcontractors wherever the CCN2 platform is concerned
- Produce, review and evaluate technical documents. It includes reviewing technical offers from DG TAXUD contractors
- Propose, challenge, and approve technical solutions (including cost-benefit analyses, and assessment of implementation's duration) and/or supervise TAXUD contractors in this field
- Perform system analysis, participate on the elaboration of the enterprise and software architecture and define system specifications
- Ensure that the systems, components and/or services' design is consistent with DG TAXUD’s reference architecture
- Technical follow-up of activities of CCN2, including operational follow-up of incidents, problems and changes with the TAXUD’s Incident Managers and Operational contractors and other relevant stakeholders
- Study (or manage the study of) adequacy and impact of new technology or new version of COTS to TAXUD systems or their interfaces with other systems
- Set up and enforce the respect of organization, procedures and project office tasks, raising warnings in case of non-respect of these
- Escalate issues, in particular, the ones with potential impacts on time or quality
- Structure the information in ways that are appropriate to the target audience

**YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Recent practical experience in IT systems architecture and design, the number of years depending on the intended level, which cannot be novice or junior
- Capability for specification of components, data and services
- Capability for specification of service interfaces, service data and reference models
- Good knowledge of interoperability technology (e.g. web services, message-oriented middleware, service-oriented bus)
- Good knowledge of service implementation patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, request/response, etc.), distributed system design and messaging layer
- Experience in architecture modelling (experience in architecture modelling tools would be an asset)
- Deep technical knowledge of IT technology
- Very strong capability for analysis, comparison and summary
- Strong capability for writing and presentation of clear documents
- Ability to work autonomously is mandatory
- Experience in international/multicultural environments and public administration are asset.

In addition, the following are required:

- College or University degree required
- Relevant experience required in complex IT environments;
- Experience producing designs of complex systems, including requirements analysis, identification of alternative solutions and their assessment, technology selection and configuration
- Very good writing skills in order to write business cases and/or vision documents, design documents and diagrams, notes, presentations, minutes, etcis required
- Industry certifications in the domain architecture or project management (e.g. Web technologies, SOA, ITIL, PMBOK, PRINCE2, TOGAF, ArchiMate, others ) relevant for the job is an asset
- IT security knowledge or certifications are an asset (ISO 27000 series, ISC² certifications, Commission IT Security rules Commission Decision 2017/46)
- French proficiency (EU level B2) is an asset
- Experience in Customs and/or Taxation domains is an asset
- Service-mindedness and autonomy are required, as well as interpersonal skills, including working in a multicultural environment or public administration, and the ability to report on
