**CONTEXT/INTRODUCTION
DG Environment, Unit A2, in partnership with other Commission services and stakeholders, provides high quality corporate solutions/information systems for its policy units, enabling the successful implementation of the Commission's Digital Transformation and EU policies. Amongst the solutions provided are systems supporting Member States reporting obligations to the European Commission; licensing systems allowing the import or export of dangerous materials; data analysis and visualisation products; registry systems of products complying with certain legislation requirements, etc. The solution assignment may change over time, according to the portfolio/project/service needs.

**DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS**

Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:

- Interaction with the business analysts, customer, users, project leaders and the developers
- Definition of test plans and test cases.
- Construction of test scenarios and scripts.
- Execution of tests.
- Management and execution of regression tests
- Test coordination.
- Reporting of test results.
- Creation of bug reports
- Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users
- Assistance in the technical documentation, the deployment, the evaluation and the reporting.
- User guidance and support on the usage of the information systems, written or via training.
- Coordination of technical teams between partners.
- Compliance with internal governance and guidelines. Effectively someone who will be able to learn very well the complex business process the information system(s) is supposed to support, including the conceptual interaction across components, but also the underlying currents like data and system security, system usability, scalability, etc. With that knowledge developing test scenarios and executing them to support the development team to deliver a high quality system, safe and bug free, in the most efficient way, including complete regression testing on development changes. A tester able to imagine happy flows and alternative and unexpected scenarios is essential. Interactions with all aspects and team members is expected: business analysis, users, documentation writing, development teams, etc. Ability to integrate an existing team of test automation, using their tools and techniques to add additional test scenarios to the suite is extremely valuable.

**LEVEL OF EDUCATION**

As stated in the Article 2.6.3.1. of DIGIT-TM II Service requirements, a minimum educational qualification for lot 2 is: Level of education corresponding to Level 6 of the European Qualification Framework which typically corresponds to a bachelor degree of 3 years.

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**

Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:

- Very good knowledge of testing technologies, tools and techniques.
- Very good knowledge of test management tools
- Very good knowledge of administrative business processes in large organisations and across organisation/country boundaries
- Very good knowledge of relational data modelling
- Very good knowledge of data preparation, with SQL and APIs
- Very good knowledge of defect tracking tools
- Very good knowledge of usability, security and data integrity concerns
- Very good knowledge of Agile development.
- Knowledge of task automation scripts.
- Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
- Analysis and problem solving skills
- Capability to write clear and structured technical documents
- Capability to write clear and structured user documents
- Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team;
- Ability to participate in multilingual meetings;
- Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects;
- Excellent Team Player
- Ability to understand, speak and write in English at a C2 (fluent) level.
