Installation Technician

**INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN**

**Job Description & Function**

Training will be provided for operation of heavy equipment including elevated work platforms, telehandler, forklift etc.

Duties will include but are not limited to; cleaning and preparing worksites, performing layouts using surveying equipment, handling of heavy material, slinging and rigging using hoisting equipment, drilling holes for anchors, mixing and pouring grout, welding and grinding, working at heights.

**Tasks**
- Receive instructions from site supervisor and execute work accordingly
- Work from blueprints, drawings, diagrams and sketches - math skills are required for this position.
- Understanding of general construction knowledge and terminology
- Determine required working procedure to accomplish rail installation or repair to company standards
- Ability to problem solve and adapt to constantly changing job sites/environments
- Team player willing and able to work side by side with co workers to complete a high quality product on time
- Work on a tasks unsupervised, performed to the expected standard/quality of work

- lift seventy-five pounds
- work from heights either from a ladder, man-lift and/or platform or beam
- work in extreme temperatures indoor/outdoor depending on job site
- work in high noise area
- work in a dusty area
- work in steel mills, warehouses, seaports and other various settings

**TRAVEL **- This position is 100% travel to other cities through out the US. Travel is reimbursed by the company and daily per diem is paid.

**Salary**: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

**Experience**:

- Structural welding: 3 years (preferred)
- Commercial construction: 3 years (preferred)
