**Function Overview**

The role of CAH Account Manager consists of developing the maximum profitable sales of Elanco Companion Animal products in the assigned territory through coverage of targeted accounts and by becoming a value-added partner to the veterinarians and veterinary staff. In this sector 100% of the AM’s time will be focused on Companion Animal customers.

Through one-on-one sales conversations, in-clinic presentations and educational programs, an Account Manager presents the whole range of Elanco’s products and helps the veterinarian and its staff to use the products to the best benefit of the practice and its customers.

The Account Manager is responsible in preparing Account plans and executing them by coordinating commercial and technical initiatives with veterinarians and their staff.

Doing so with appropriate communications consistent with Elanco’ s marketing and sales objectives.

AM’s are held accountable for delivering sales results and implementing agreed strategies and plans.

**Essential Job Functions**
- Accountable for the attainment of sales objectives through the execution of Account Plans with targeted Accounts;
- Cultivate customer relationship in order to increase our customer value proposition
- Transfer key messages and scientific information about Elanco products to veterinarians and veterinary staff of veterinary clinics within the designated sales territory;
- Call on and generate demand with all targeted accounts in the designated sales territory;
- Implement and execute marketing programs and customer initiatives;
- Disciplined reporting of all call reports, territory intelligence and customer information within designed CRM;
- Reporting any adverse events and product quality complaints & adhere to all Elanco policies and procedures;

**Requirements**:

- Higher education or bachelor/ scientific orientation
- Experience in sales & animal health is a plus
- Empathy or passion for veterinary business
- Strong business acumen and results driven
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good influence and leadership skills
- Strong learning agility
- Organizational and implementation skills
- Personal accountability with high initiative and sound work ethics
- Computer literate
- Language : Fluent in Dutch and French & English is a plus
- Some overnight travel may be required depending on the territory
