Janssen is recruiting for a Manager, R&D IT, BioResearch Quality & Compliance (BRQC) located in Raritan, NJ; or Beerse, BE. This position may require up to 20% travel (domestic and international).

**Responsibilities**:

- Program Oversight: Report on the progress of workstreams/capabilities within scope of responsibility. Handle tools necessary to dedicatedly report on regional portfolio, product/capability status, financials, technical strategy and plans.
- Product ownership of the BRQC product portfolio.
- Roadmap Generation: Develops a future data roadmap for systems or capability areas within their area of responsibility. Understands an IT system or systems that the business partner. group uses, maps out business processes to serve as reference for development and IT support.
- Agile User Requirements: Understands the role of a Product Owner and the Backlog prioritization process.
- Support of all BioResearch Quality and Compliance (BRQC) organizations.
- Ownership of overall technology relationship focusing on BRQC data and analytics and platform ALM activities.
- Lead / partner with development teams; craft technical and solution strategy / approach; dedicatedly suggest technical approaches and capabilities solutions in line with technical/business strategy.
- Develop new ways to identify insights from our data to increase the impact of business recommendations.
- Understand technology landscape within scope of responsibility, seek internal and external insights to craft technology approach and vision for the market(s)/cluster(s)/region.
- Act as a key resource on other larger projects and serves as a consultant with multi-functional team members.
- Serve as an internal consultant, adding value and providing insight to partners. Identify key business questions, business processes and decisions.
- Analyze business problems, opportunities, and challenges, factoring in a deep understanding of the technical architecture and the underlying drivers of the business.
- Design technical solutions, including system integrations, in partnership with other sub-functions in IT.
- Assist in structuring and executing of PoCs and plans to scale and integrate in the broader system landscape
- Network with internal J&J Quality and Compliance teams and the external industry to bring in ground-breaking approaches to amplify capabilities.
- Manage the competing needs for innovation and standardization/process harmonization, frequently influencing business partners to align with standard methodologies.

**Qualifications**
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in IT Management or related field. An advanced degree is preferred. Course work is in Computer Science, Data Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline is preferred.

Required:

- A Minimum of 5 years IT experience
- 5+ years of relevant and related experience in IT leadership
- A proven track record of project delivery and business relationship management
- Ability to translate business requirements to technology solutions
- Proven advocacy for evidence-based decision-making to improve business outcomes
- Strong leadership skills - operates as an independent leader with understanding and appreciation of the global/enterprise context
- Strong consultative and facilitation skills
- Strong presentation skills - can speak across various forums and communicate to broad, diverse audience

Preferred:

- Understanding of R&D development processes
- Experience in Quality and Compliance functions
- Experience in GxP systems and/or Computer System Validation
- Strong external presence in the Quality and Compliance domain
- Experience with large scale data warehouse and/or visualization projects/tools such as: Tableau, Spotfire, Qlik Sense, Planisware, Teradata
- Advanced Analytics experience
- Understanding of various analytics disciplines, such as machine learning, text mining and related disciplines
