About the team
We are looking for an experienced frontend engineer to join our awesome team at Qlik R&D in Ghent, Belgium. We are committed to becoming an inspirational cloud-native team with a reputation for developing delightful user experiences and delivering top quality customer service

You will be working on the team that develops the Qlik Application Automation (also called QAA)

QAA is a powerful integration platform, which connects APIs via a low-code workflow builder. Such integrations can be scheduled or event-driven and are compiled and executed inside a docker container.

The frontend has a complex drag-and-drop workflow builder, written in Vue.js and JavaScript. The backend uses the Laravel framework. The infrastructure runs on AWS, using a host of services such as AWS EKS (Kubernetes), RDS, ElastiCache, S3, Athena, and many more.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks
- Architect, build, deploy and iterate new features and capabilities of the Automations Editor
- Own the quality of your deliverable through good design, code, implementation, and testing.
- Ensure that the technical software development process is followed on the project and stay up-to-date with the industry best practices for software development.

Competencies and skills:

- The skills and qualifications required for this role:

- Solid understating of HTML / CSS and JavaScript
- Autonomy and ownership. There won’t be any micromanagement. You have the full responsibility to drive features together with the team from design to deployment in production.
- Strong sense of engineering pragmatism by being able to weigh technical debt against risk and business value when making daily decisions on how much or little to engineer a given feature or solution.
- Critical eye for spotting issues and improvement opportunities from the lowest to the highest level.
- Solid knowledge of ES6, Vue.js, Webpack, Git, and SASS
- Experience with Vuex and/or Vue Router.
- Experience consuming real-time APIs (e.g. WebSocket API, polling)
- Nice to have: experience with micro frontends, CI/CD (e.g. GitHub Actions), Canvas API, Single SPA, component libraries.
