Trade Compliance Senior Analyst

PURPOSE OF POSITION
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- To ensure smooth and compliant customs clearance operations of finished goods in EMEA.
- Act as Trade Compliance DRI for Consumer Health EMEA.
- Interact at the appropriate level with Government authorities and represent NCHC (SPOC for Customs, Chamber of commerce, etc).
- To liaise and collaborate with Global Trade compliance teams to complete and implement global Trade Compliance Standards, processes and tools.
- To obtain/maintain required TC licenses (approved exporter, authorization, REX, etc.), ensuring timely and compliance customs reporting as well as transparent recordkeeping.
- To manage relationships with Customs Clearing Agents via metrics and by providing them strategic directions and guidance, as well as driving continuous improvements.
- Implement trade compliance KPI reporting and Reliability tracking in accordance to the remediation plan
- Map, build, manage and optimize trade compliance operations budget for customs brokerage service: align the budgeting inputs and support with the budget owners; deliver on CIP targets through operational improvements whiles ensuring service, quality, reliability and compliance.
- To ensure smooth internal and external trade compliance audits, conducted by Customs Authorities.
- Proactively surfaces and resolves key issues with a sense of urgency, demonstrates continuous improvement including transportation lanes, resource management, leveraged value.
- To ensure all regional trade compliance processes and programs are aligned with the corporate vision, strategy, standards and international legislations.
- To drive a culture of Safety & Compliance.
- Key Interfaces- Deliver: Segment Deliver: Alignment with Regional Segment Deliver Lead on segment priorities
- Source: Collaboration with Procurement on Broker Rationalization strategy and execution
- GDx/RDx: Assess operational maturity and define and execute continuous improvement priorities
- Compliance: Jointly focus on creating competitive advantage through quality and compliance
- Finance / QA / Security / Governmental authorities (Customs, etc.)
Objectives / Metrics- Focus: Enabling execution of effective and efficient day to day operations, ensuring reliability, agility, speed, quality and compliance
- KPIs: customs clearance lead time, customs declaration correctness, brokerage reporting on time and accurate; internal/external audit scores
**Qualifications**:
- Essential knowledge and skills:
- Master's degree in Supply Chain, Transport & Distribution, Logistics, International Studies, Legal, Economics, Financial.
- Qualification courses on customs clearance and trade compliance is a plus
- Minimum 5 years of confirmed experience in Trade Compliance area
- Experience with international trade flows and import/export documentation
- Experience and/or training in the following areas of competence: Union Customs Code (UCC), World Customs Organization, HTS code determination, Customs valuation principles, rules of origin, free trade agreements, INCOTERMS, AEO
- Experience in customs brokerage activities
- Experience in special customs authorizations and licenses
- Good interpersonal skills. Ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority; build consensus and look for collaboration with people from different organizations
- Innovative approach with capability for problem solving, compliance orientation/GDP knowledge/quality mentality, business case development and trade-off alignment
- Ability to handle complexity and change
- Customer oriented and a pro-active attitude.
- Good Project management and change management skills
