The Power Technique Business Area (PT BA) is focused on being compliant in every aspect of our business and in all the markets we operate. To further improve the governance of our trade compliance activities across the globe and to maximize the efficiency of our business processes and regulatory framework, we are now searching for a Power Technique Business Area Trade Compliance manager.
As Trade Compliance manager you are reporting to the Power Technique Business Area Controller. You will closely collaborate with Divisional management teams as well as with Holding respective organizations.
**Mission**:
This position starts as interim manager for our Trade Compliance department replacing our current Trade Compliance Lead who will go on maternity leave starting the 1st of January 2025. In this interim function you will assume the responsibilities of the trade compliance lead until she returns. In continuation the focus of the job is to strengthen and extend the capabilities of trade compliance in the areas of:
- Trade agreements
- Customs and Classifications
- Sanctions and Export control
- Reporting and data analytics
**Job description**:
As interim manager for the Business Area Trade Compliance team, you have the global responsibility for managing and improving the global international trade compliance function.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Overall strategic planning and management of the international trade compliance function to protect the business area's organizational reputation and business continuity.
- Successfully implement and enforce Group compliance policies, standards, initiatives, and procedures within the Power Technique Business Area related but not restricted to:
- Sanctioned party screening.
- Export and import management including customs and export controls classification processes of products, product licensing requirements and creation of export and import declarations and documentation.
- Trade preference management and support.
- Lead and develop the PT BA trade compliance department including the various roles and functions.
- Closely cooperate with the Atlas Copco Corporate Counsel Group Compliance to validate the measures taken and implement any necessary or recommended process improvements.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with all internal key stakeholders and functions. Guiding and steering the partnership with external local providers/consultants in charge.
- Identify and address potential trade compliance risks, including identification and mitigation activities and play a strategic role in the management of global trade compliance-related risks and/or incidents.
- Implement adequate tools to reduce risk, ensure compliance and provide automation to manage trade compliance in the most efficient and effective way.
- Establish training programs to further increase the competence of the PT Business Area organization in the field of international trade compliance.
In the continuation the job consists of extending services in the following areas:
Trade agreement management
- Developing and implementing international trade strategies and plans to meet company goals and objectives.
- Support and monitor the strategic use of Free Trade Agreements
- Identifying and evaluating potential international business opportunities and partnerships.
- Ensuring compliance with international trade laws and regulations, including trade restrictions, tariffs, and customs regulations.
- Analyzing and monitoring market trends and competitive activity to identify opportunities and risks
Customs and Classifications
- Support and develop training on relevant Customs topics for stakeholders and business partners
- Implement and maintain local Customs and trade solutions such as bonded warehouses and Foreign Trade Zones
- Responsible for establishing brokerage policy toward trade compliance, supporting the management of Customs brokers/agents, and maintaining standard operational procedures
- Actively identify and manage risks related to Customs processes
Sanctions and Export control
- Providing support for the development, implementation and monitoring of a compliance program dedicated to international trade sanctions and export control matters. This includes the deployment of such program by providing appropriate trainings worldwide.
