The buyer's position sources components to ensure customer commitments are met. This includes getting quotations, creating purchase orders, follow up of deliveries and solving related issues.

**Responsibilities**:

- Steer innovations in the purchasing team
- Follow market trends and take preventive actions
- Communicate and report to management any shortfalls and actions being taken to mitigate these in a timely manner
- Work cross functionally with other teams including Sales & Production to ensure that customer orders will be fulfilled on time
- Request quotations for customer projects
- Create and follow up purchase orders
- Solve related issues (delays, changes in customer order, unforeseen shortages,)
- Carry out other duties as assigned such as End-of-Life management, arranging the return of faulty materials,

Qualifications:

- Have a Bachelors’ Degree preferable in Engineering, electronics but is not a must
- Preferably have relevant purchasing experience
- Can solve practical problems using common sense
- Can multitask and deal with changes that may come with short notice
- Have good interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills
- Are a self-starter with a high degree of organization skills
- Are proficient with Excel
- Are fluent in English (and Dutch), other languages are an asset
- Learn actively, think critically & possess analytical and problem solving skills
- Have knowledge about or willing to learn about a major ERP system such as SAP (MM)
