Zebrafishlab (Faculty of Pharmaceutical, Biomedical and Veterinary Sciences) is looking for a **full-time** (100%) postdoctoral researcher: development of approaches for the assessment of endocrine disruptors**.
**Position**
- The amount of personal lab work will be very limited. You will occasionally assist in the supervision of PhD and master thesis students who are working in these areas.
- You will help writing new project proposals and contribute to attracting external funding.
- You will participate in the general management and maintenance of the lab, and fish housekeeping duties including weekend duty.
**Profile**
- You hold a PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Medicine, Biology, or one of the related life sciences, or you will have obtained it by the time you start work.
- A high level of experience in the field of toxicology is essential to qualify for this position, including demonstrable independent research competences and a high-quality publication record in the leading journals in the field.
- You have expertise in one or more of the following areas: human and/or environmental regulatory toxicology, the development of IATAs and/or AOPs, general knowledge of thyroid hormone system physiology, the use of THSD-related NAMs, relevant EU legislative frameworks (e.g., REACH, CLP, PPP, etc.).
- Your research qualities are in line with the faculty and university research policies.
- You act with attention to quality, integrity, creativity and cooperation.
- You can speak fluently in English. Excellent writing skills in English are required.
**What we offer**
- We offer a full-time appointment as a postdoctoral scholarship holder for an initial period of one year, which may be extended after positive evaluation depending on funding availability.
- The planned start date is September 1st 2024, or as soon as possible after that date.
- Your monthly scholarship amount is calculated according to the scholarship amounts for postdoctoral scholarship holders on the pay scales for Contract Research Staff (Dutch: _Bijzonder Academisch Personeel_, BAP).
- You will receive ecocheques, internet-connectivity allowance and a bicycle allowance or a full reimbursement of public transport costs for commuting.
- You will do most of your work at Campus Drie Eiken in a dynamic and stimulating working environment.
