**OVER DE UGENT**

De Universiteit Gent is een van de belangrijkste onderwijs
- en onderzoeksinstellingen in de Lage Landen. 15.000 medewerkers en 50.000 studenten maken dagelijks het motto “Durf Denken” waar. Kwaliteitsvol onderwijs, internationaal gewaardeerd onderzoek en een pluralistische maatschappelijke verantwoordelijkheid kenmerken de missie van de UGent.

**OPDRACHT**

Dit ambt situeert zich binnen de vakgroep Inwendige Ziekten en Pediatrie van de faculteit Geneeskunde en Gezondheidswetenschappen. De aanstelling van 5% omvat een onderwijsopdracht. De onderzoeks
- en dienstverleningsopdracht voert u uit aan het Universitair Ziekenhuis Gent, waar u reeds als vastbenoemd staflid verbonden bent op 1 september 2025.

**Academisch onderwijs**

U neemt onderwijsopdrachten op in het domein van geneeskunde en gezondheidswetenschappen meer specifiek in het domein van pneumologie. De opdracht situeert zich in diverse opleidingen binnen de faculteit Geneeskunde en Gezondheidswetenschappen, waaronder hoofdzakelijk de basisopleiding Geneeskunde en de master na master opleiding Specialistische Geneeskunde.

Naast vakinhoudelijke opdrachten neemt u ook meer generieke onderwijsopdrachten op, waaronder deelname aan vaardighedenonderwijs en de leerlijn professioneel gedrag. Verder begeleidt u studenten uit verschillende opleidingen van de faculteit bij masterproeven en papers.

De opdracht kan in de loop van de tijd fluctueren in functie van noden en ontwikkelingen.

**Wetenschappelijk onderzoek**

U bouwt onderzoek uit in het domein van pneumologie dat hoofdzakelijk klinisch georiënteerd is. U heeft hierbij ook oog voor aspecten van translationeel onderzoek en streeft naar (nieuwe) samenwerkingen.

**Wetenschappelijke dienstverlening**

U werkt mee aan de interne en externe dienstverlening van de vakgroep Inwendige Ziekten en Pediatrie waarbij u onder meer werkt aan het vertalen van uw onderzoeksresultaten naar het bredere publiek. In de loop van uw loopbaan bent u bereid rollen en bestuursfuncties op te nemen die relevant zijn voor de vakgroep en/of faculteit.

U bent als vast staflid verbonden aan het Universitair Ziekenhuis Gent waar u instaat voor klinische dienstverlening.

**Kennis/ervaring**
- U heeft reeds hoogstaand wetenschappelijk onderzoek verricht in het opgegeven vakgebied zoals blijkt uit publicaties in kwaliteitsvolle wetenschappelijke tijdschriften en boeken met peer review;
- U bent in staat om wetenschappelijk onderzoek te initiëren en te begeleiden en hiervoor de nodige fondsen te verzamelen;
- U beschikt over didactische vaardigheden die gericht zijn op het ontwikkelen en realiseren van academische competenties bij universiteitsstudenten;
- U heeft expertise in het domein van de pneumologie en meer specifiek COPD, longvolumereductie en revalidatie;
- Strekken tot aanbeveling:

- Internationale mobiliteit o.m. door onderzoekverblijven in onderzoeksinstellingen extern aan de instelling waaraan de hoogste academische graad werd behaald;
- Positief geëvalueerde ervaring met verstrekt en/of georganiseerd onderwijs op academisch niveau;
- Onderwijsprofessionalisering.
- U dient de onderwijstaal waarin u een opleidingsonderdeel zal doceren te beheersen op het ERK-niveau C1. U kan dit aantonen aan de hand van een taalattest of een diploma behaald aan een instelling waarin die taal de onderwijstaal is.Bovendien vereist artikel II.270, -1 van de Codex Hoger Onderwijs dat: (i) u binnen de 2 jaar na de aanstelling de Nederlandse taal minstens op ERK-niveau A2 dient te beheersen. (ii) u op het moment van benoeming of ten laatste 5 jaar na de aanstelling het vereiste beheersingsniveau op ERK-niveau B2 moet kunnen aantonen. **Toelatingsvoorwaarden**
- U bent houder van een diploma van doctor op proefschrift in de Gezondheidswetenschappen of van een diploma of certificaat dat als gelijkwaardig wordt erkend (artikel V.20 Codex Hoger Onderwijs).

Bij beoordeling van een buitenlands (niet-EU) diploma kan alsnog een gelijkwaardigheidsattest moeten worden aangevraagd bij NARIC; wij raden u aan - in voorkomend geval - de erkenningsprocedure bij NARIC zo spoedig als mogelijk op te starten. U dient uiterlijk op de datum van aanstelling over deze erkenning te beschikken.
