**Inleiding
**In de afdeling Quality & Products van de cluster ArcelorMittal Gent/Liège volgt men de kwaliteit van ons product - vlak koolstofstaal - gedurende het volledige productieproces. Dit betekent het definiëren van de juiste productieparameters om de gewenste kwaliteit voor de klant te bekomen, het controleren door metingen van de kwaliteit, het nemen van beslissingen in geval van afwijkingen, nazorg door het behandelen van klachten. Deze afdeling is ook verantwoordelijk, in nauwe samenwerking met de R&D afdelingen, voor het industrialiseren van nieuwe producten. Binnen deze afdeling zijn we op zoek naar een specialist metallurgische routes om de sectie Metallurgical Routes & Product Development te vervolledigen.

**Wat houdt de job in?
**Als specialist van de metallurgische routes ben je verantwoordelijk voor de routes van een aantal staalkwaliteiten.

Jouw takenpakket ziet er als volgt uit:

- Je bouwt diepgaande kennis op rond het productieproces, productkwaliteit en -keuring.
- Je werkt in nauwe samenwerking met R&D en de commerciële organisatie om nieuwe producten te introduceren.
- Je gaat continu op zoek naar metallurgische verbeteringen voor de verschillende staalkwaliteiten teneinde kosten te besparen en een betere kwaliteit voor de klant te bekomen, dit steeds in nauwe samenwerking met de productieafdelingen en de commerciële organisatie.
- Je biedt metallurgische ondersteuning bij technische vragen en klachten van klanten.
- Je ontwikkelt metallurgische modellen
- Je neemt beslissingen over materiaal met afwijkende parameters.
- Je coördineert verbeteringsprojecten die thuishoren in jouw kennisdomein.

Dit takenpakket doe je voornamelijk vanuit Gent. Aangezien de sectie metallurgical routes & product development een overkoepelende sectie is voor de cluster Gent/Liège zal je op regelmatige basis (ongeveer 20%) ook naar Luik moeten.

**Ben jij de geschikte kandidaat?**
- Je beschikt over een Master-diploma en een sterke interesse in metallurgie en chemie.
- Je denkt klant
- en kwaliteitsgericht.
- Je communiceert vlot in het Nederlands, Frans en Engels.
- Je komt zowel zelfstandig als in team goed uit de verf. Je kan makkelijk contacten leggen met andere mensen.
- Dankzij je gedrevenheid kan je problemen snel en efficiënt aanpakken, je kan omgaan met operationele druk.
