De expertisegroep Radiochemie staat in voor onderzoek, ontwikkeling en toepassing van (radio-)chemische processen en technologie. De groep is actief in het domein van nucleaire materialen gebruikt voor energiedoeleinden (e.g. nucleaire splijtstof), radioactief afval (e.g. beheer van bestraalde splijtstof), en de productie van radionucliden.
Als hoofd van deze expertisegroep bent u verantwoordelijk voor:
- de wetenschappelijke, technische en administratieve leiding van de expertisegroep;
- het identificeren en realiseren van het strategisch onderzoek in chemische processen en bijhorende competenties met als doel de kennis
- en valorisatiemogelijkheden op termijn te vrijwaren;het beheer van de radiochemische laboratoria rekening houdend met de van kracht zijnde veiligheidsnormen;
- het managen en optimaal inzetten van budget, infrastructuur en personeel van de groep;
- het people management binnen de expertisegroep;
- de wetenschappelijke, maatschappelijke en financiële consolidatie van de knowhow van de groep en zijn radiochemische laboratoria;
- het verkennen van en inspelen op de industriële noden van de markt;
- het vertegenwoordigen van de expertisegroep en het ganse SCK CEN bij nationale en internationale instellingen.
**Wat onze pioniers zeker nodig hebben**:
- gepaste universitaire opleiding, bij voorkeur een diploma van master in de ingenieurswetenschappen (burgerlijk ingenieur) of van doctor in de (ingenieurs)wetenschappen, bij voorkeur met een achtergrond in het domein van chemische technologie;
- kennis van radiochemische processen, technologieën en analyses;
- vertrouwd zijn met procesontwikkeling en projectvalorisatie;
- goede leidinggevende, organisatorische en communicatieve vaardigheden;
- brede interesse voor alle activiteiten van het SCK CEN;
- goede kennis van het Nederlands, Frans en Engels of bereid zijn hieromtrent opleidingen te volgen.
