We are hiring a **Back-End Developer (BED)** for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics) **in Brussels**. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

Main Responsibilities

As **Back-End Developer (BED)** you will be responsible for:
- Development of back-end website architecture.
- Implement core business logic.
- Creation of servers and databases for functionality.
- Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
- Cross-platform optimisation.
- Design and develop APIs.
- Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.
- Taking lead on projects, as needed.
- Maintenance of code integrity and organisation.
- Writing clean, functional code on the front
- and back-end.
- Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
- Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues.
- Meet both technical and consumer needs.
- Write technical documentation.

**LEVEL OF EDUCATION**
- A bachelor degree of 3 years.
**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:
- Excellent knowledge of Java and Spring
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and Oracle
- Good knowledge of Angular
- Good knowledge of JavaScript/HTML/CSS
- Good knowledge of TypeScript, Vue.js and Bootstrap
- Good knowledge of Jira and Confluence
- Good knowledge of Git
- Good knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Good writing skills Ability to cope with fast changing priorities
- Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
- Analysis and problem-solving skills
- Capability to write clear and structured technical documents
- Ability to participate in technical meetings
- Ability to evaluate new technical solutions to improve IT service delivery
- _Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team; _
- _Ability to participate in multilingual meetings; _
- _Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects; _
