We are looking for a **Innovation Manager** to identify and develop innovation opportunities in order to broaden the company’s product and brand portfolio.
**Scope of the Role**:
The** Innovation Manager **will be responsible for the product development based on consumer insights, assessment of current and potential new assets, trends and competitor analysis.
As well responsible of providing the necessary scientific support during the development and post-launch.
- Assess and screen all new worldwide projects within the assigned business unit and turn them into practical opportunities
- Lead the product development by following up the in-house or external developments
- Participate in both the front & back-end-innovation to deliver the right innovation to our consumers
- Analyze the existing portfolio of brands and products for the assigned business unit, harmonize and propose

**Location**: Ghent, Belgium
We offer a flexible Hybrid working schedule with an expectation of 3 days in the office per week.
**Experience Required**:
- Master degree in a scientific field (preferably Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medicine, Bio-Sciences, Chemistry,) or equivalent by experience
- 5-7 years of work experience in a similar role in product development
- Strong technical background as well as a strong affinity for commercial aspects (OTC / FMCG)
- Excellent knowledge of medical devices, cosmetics, medicines, biocides, food supplements and their legal / regulatory aspects
- Other qualifications in R&D, product development, consumer-led innovation and consumer insights are a plus
- Fluent spoken and written English skills
