My client is looking for an experienced Senior IT Business Analyst for IT Asset Optimization and Generation projects.

**MISSION AND CONTEXT**

In order to adapt to the fast-changing Belgian Energy market, and to realize its strategic ambitions, our client has designed a Corporate Transformation Roadmap. In there, IT is a key enabler for many of the initiatives defined. Projects Related to Asset Optimization and Generation are delivered by the **OptiGen Release train**.

In the scope of the OptiGen Release train, the project is one of the Strategic initiatives of Short Term Optimisation to comply with the protocols implemented by the client. A joined team of Business and IT is delivering the overall project.

**ROLE DESCRIPTION**

As our Lead Business Analyst you will:

- **Lead a team** of two experienced business and functional analysts and ensure qualitative and timely delivery of the work owned by the team;
- **Structure and lead major business analysis exercises** to ensure build-up of an implementation backlog and/or respond to changes (eg new requirements) in close collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Collect the needs of the Optimisation Team & translate these into detailed **functional and non functional requirements** based on solid understanding of the business process.
- Ensure business acceptance of the solution by means of **functional and user acceptance testing**.
- Work with the product owner to define, challenge and **prioritize requirements with business** during co-creation phase;
- **Support the architecture** capability in understanding the functional requirements and needed capabilities in the landscape;
- **Report on overall progress, flag risks** to project management and identify/solve impediments;
- Identify improvements to the delivery methodology, with special interest in the overall **intake process**.

**Background and skills**
- hold a higher educational background in economics or information technology;
- have at least 3 years of professional experience in an analytical job working on larger IT projects;
- can demonstrate a successful experience in business and/or functional analysis, design and implementation of change projects.
- can translate complex business requirements into solid functional specifications, based on your thorough understanding of the business context;
- possess strong structuring & analytical skills;
- able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
- communicate effectively on all levels of the company both inside IT and the business in **English, Dutch and/or French.**:

- have experience in organizing and leading workshops;
- easily build constructive relationships and skilled in bringing the different parties together in a co-creation spirit;
- knowledge of Short-Term Power Optimisation, Ancillary Services, iCAROS, MARI, is considered a major advantage
- Understanding of agile delivery methodologies is considered a plus.
