Physics Lab Technician

We are a growing supplier of fibre optic sensors based on fibre Bragg gratings (FBGs). We provide customers

worldwide with sensor solutions for measuring strain, pressure, temperature and shape. Measuring what was not

reach their limits. With exciting projects from research and industry and versatile tasks, you will help shape the fibre

sensor technology of tomorrow at FBGS. More than 40 employees from over 17 countries work at our sites in Jena

(Germany) and Geel (Belgium).

**For our production team at the fiber optic draw tower we are looking for you as a**

**Physics lab technician (m/w/d)**

**Your tasks**:

- Operating production equipment for of optical fiber sensors such as the fiber optic draw tower
- Material supply, setting up machines and maintenance of the laser
- Measuring and characterising products, documenting processes
- Creating production programs
- Collaboration in cause analysis and problem solving

**That’s what you bring**:

- Technical interest and enjoyment of work in a high-tech environment
- Vocational qualification as a physics lab technician or similar
- Enjoy working in an international team
- Reliability and accuracy
- Willing to work in a two-shift system from Monday to Friday (early and late shift)
- Good knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint, LabView is an asset
- Good knowledge of German
