AIG’s underwriters help to find insurance solutions for risks from a range of areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients and High Net Worth individuals.
About the role
What you need to know:
The role will predominantly involve: Study, analyse, manage and quote general ledger major and middle market business in accordance with the AIG guidelines, authorities, strategy, processes and tools:
- Manage, analyse and defend an existent portfolio of business.- Build up a profitable book of new business.- Prepare risk referrals for new and existing business.- Handle rater tools and prepare booking instructions.- Participate in client/broker meetings.- Monitor portfolio of the book in relationship with claims.- Handle the commercial relationship with clients and brokers.- Give presentations, trainings and take care of internal and external networking.- Invest in different underwriting excellence initiatives.
What we’re looking for:
- Relevant experience in the insurance environment.- Dutch, French and English language capabilities.- Commercial and analytical skills.- Organizational Skills - personal efficiency, time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands are key.- Communication Skills - Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills. Build relationships and collaborate with others.
