- This team is responsible for providing and advising higher management with financial insights to improve decision making, e.g. on investments, product innovations, budgets, opportunities, etc._ _As a team, you lead & coordinate the budgeting process and strategic & financial projects._
In this role as VIE FP&A Controller, you report to the FP&A manager who is responsible for cash and business planning. Together with your manager, you ensure a complete and qualitative delivery of the management reporting in time and ensure planning tools are timely and accurately reflecting our CBU Belgium plans. You liaise with different teams (e.g. Finance, IS-IT, Operations) and are the sparring partner for the business (internal stakeholders of Danone).
Your key responsibilities include:
- **Budgeting and forecasting**: You support the budgeting process and cycles by acting as key FP&A contact for financial planning tool users. You support the FP&A team in daily activities by providing ad-hoc analysis You are the finance key contact person regarding purchage order process, being responsible to perform PO/GR for the finance team and able to support other stakeholders on this topic.
- **Reporting**: You support the delivery of the CBU consolidated reporting during month end by ensuring data consistency and accuracy on a timely manner. You actively participate to the actual closing process of the P&L. You provide qualitative analysis to support explanation of the results and variation of financial KPI’s. Doing so you are taking ownership of the figures reported.
- **Improvement and Business development projects**: You participate in projects related to implementation or improvement of finance processes and CBU new ways of working. Doing so, you contribute to continuous improvement and risk management within CBU controlling. You are supporting the implementation of the CBU data transformation roadmap (CBU dashboards, forecast, process automatizations). You ensure key FP&A processes are documented.
About you
**About you**:
To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:
- A Master Degree in e.g. Economics, Business Engineering, Finance, etc. or equivalent through experience.
- You are available to start a VIE on October / November.
- Understanding of accounting principles (P&L, Balance sheet, FCF). Experience in business/FP&A controlling is a plus.
- Drive to deliver results on promises / on time
- Strong analytical and communication skills. Able to collaborate in cross-functional teams
- Interest in BI tools and data analitics. Experience with reporting tools is a plus.
- You are fluent in English. Dutch and/or French is an asset.
**Are you eligible for a V.I.E?**
V.I.E is a type of contract linked to Business France (French public organism) allowing Europeans to work internationally for a designated company. This is a 6 to 24 months contract.
- You must be aged 18 to 28. You must have completed national service obligation.
- You must be a citizen of the European Economic Area.
- You must have never worked in the country in which you wish to do your V.I.E.
- You have never done a V.I.E before.
**What are the contractual advantages of the V.I.E ?**
- There are no taxes and charges on salary, as a V.I.E your social security is covered by April international.
- You will be granted with 2,5 days off per month.
- Your gratification is fixed according to the Business France grid.
- The cost of your back-and-forth flight or train tickets is covered.
