**A day in the life of a **Squad Master International Payments BE - Customer Journey Expert_Payment Services**

Together with other CJE’s you will
- Maximize business value through ordering and prioritizing the product backlog features and stories., you are actively involved in the creation of Epics, Features, User Stories and Tasks, in collaboration with business and other IT stakeholders, with the ability to adapt quickly to impediments and challenges.
- Ensure that functional and non-functional requirements are defined and met. Non-functional requirements include, but are not limited to security, resilience, performance, contractual, legal and compliance requirements and obligations. Solve impediments encountered in the development of the Product.
- Build and maintain strong relations with important key-stakeholders (Risk, Legal, Compliance, Audit, service consumers, service providers, Finance, Tax, Sales,..)
- You support country service intake process, (You monitor the performance, process control standards and incidents, you create service reports to ING Countries / ‘service recipients’, you support the Senior Service Owner with management reporting)
- Continuously monitor and improve the overall service:

- You realize the business case and benefit tracking.
- You realize risk assessment process for service improvements.
- You support improvement of internal
- and external supplier management.
- You support Product Area Lead and Product Lead with management reporting.

**Your Role and The Team**

ING’s Payment and Settlement Services (“PSS”) aims to further mature, develop and expand ING’s state of the art payments platforms and settlements services. The PSS focusses on delivering payments and settlement services, meeting the expectations of ING’s business lines and beyond, whilst ensuring the basics: safe, secure, compliant, and reliable. The PSS is an independent unit within ING’s CTO domain, reporting directly into ING’s Chief Technology Officer.

The PSS is responsible for providing standardized payments and settlements services to multiple ING business lines (WB, Retail, and others). There is a clear ambition to also look for external commercialization of our payment platforms.

The PSS changes the organization towards a true Services-based organization and to deliver on ambitious promises, we have organized ourselves into a strong strategic and commercially focused organization around our eight services, where our squads working on those products are enabled by clear prioritization, accountability, and capabilities.

The Squad Master is a new role within ING replacing the Product Owner Role.
PSS works according to Agile principles in self-organizing teams. Together with other CJE’s you have an end-to-end responsibility for the development, and you have the main responsibility for the delivery. As our Squad Master, you'll determine what is being worked on within a squad (in consultation with your Product Lead), responsible for meeting the Services KPI’s and decide what the key priorities are. You will also be working in the areas of finance, risk, intragroup sourcing, service/performance management and data analytics.
