Be a change agent to introduce the data steward role within the organisation by evangelizing data stewardship added value across the business
**Your responsibilities include**:
- Creating data requirements define mainly based on information requirements.
- Collaborating with IT teams that implement the data specifications and document the requirements and changes in a structured way. Where necessary, you complete the documentation of existing Legacy systems and encourage others to do the same.
- The implementation of data classification at entity/table level across all data systems, more specifically within the different layers of the data reservoir (under construction).
- Supporting the run organization by supplying functional information about data elements
- Taking an active role in data governance (follow-up, reporting, escalation activities as well as participating in governance meetings)
- Taking an active role within the governance of data models. You monitor, look at the impact of change on your data models, you ensure alignment between the different data models.
- Proactively identifying and formulating new ideas to improve data management. You make these ideas concrete and ensure implementation whereby the information and data management objectives guide the priorities.
- Proactively collecting data incidents and problems with the aim of improving data management within your domain. Where necessary, you escalate to increase the sense of urgency.
- Understanding the quality reporting, including the trust indicator, including its structure and structure.
- Performing regular follow-up of data quality requirements, rules and controls.
**Other key skills**
- Be an excellent and proactive networker and have the ability to build relationships between all different data producing and consuming parties
- Ability to leverage experience in similar roles to have an accelerated start and bring in proven processes into the team to continue developing it
- You live the change: Helps to propagate the importance of data management and you ensure that data management standards are implemented within your domain.
- You have enough technical knowledge to discuss data models and flows, as well as hands-on experience in common data tooling like SQL to get under the HOOD when necessary
