Production Steering Expert

Join Lineas and propel your career to new heights as a Steering Expert, where you'll support in the steering of the Belgium operations. You support translation of the sales and network initiatives with the execution teams by translating resource needs into recruitment and training plans and by managing the feedback loops. Next to that you manage the manpower supplier relationship and lead the performance management activities by translating the key performance indicators into insights and priorities for the Belgium production areas.
**Your mission**:
- Collaborate with Network Balancing, Lineas Academy, HR, and Production Areas to maintain supply plans, offering strategic advice on recruitment, training, transfer, reallocation, and scaling—all while prioritizing budget and network forecasts.
- Take charge of the performance management framework for external parties supplying manpower within Lineas, overseeing forecasting, capacity tracking, flexibility, compliance with regulations and labor rules, as well as incident and financial impact monitoring.
- Support the feedback framework from execution Belgium towards Network, including process & content coordination of the occurring anomalies and it’s action plans.
- You create insights on the Belgium key performance indicators including manpower availability, shift productivity and human KPI’s evolution. You act as a connector with network and the operational teams to monitor and review the related improvement actions (e.g. allocation of heavy performances over different series). You contribute to the development of the performance framework and the operational processes, tools and standards.
**Your profile**:
Demonstrate excellent expertise or a proven quick understanding of network operations, encompassing planning, scheduling, and execution processes. Essential skills include strong analytical capabilities, proficiency in BI tools, a solution-oriented mindset, and basic project management skills. Possess good organizational and planning abilities, effective communication, negotiation skills, and empathy towards staff members. Experience in the broader railway sector, including outside Lineas, is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and Tableau is required. Strong proficiency in either Dutch or French, and proficiency in the other language and English is necessary.
