The Geel - Belgium site is the largest chemical production site for small molecule API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) within the Janssen supply chain. We ensure lifesaving medicines reach the patient, safely, optimality, competitively, always. Beside production of API's, the site has an important launch & grow mission for new pharmaceutical products. To accomplish this mission, we keep investing in new technologies, people, and partnerships. Within the Geel logistics and warehouse team, we are recruiting an **IN and OUT Logistics Expert** (M/F/X) as a crucial member of our warehouse IN and OUT team.
**Your function**:
In this role you will be at the forefront of our daily operations and ensure that all incoming and outbound goods are processed accurately, efficiently and on time. You will be working very close together with the warehouse operations team. We are looking for a dynamic person who can multitask while keeping the oversight and who gets energized by a fast-paced environment. **Key responsibilities**:
- **Coordinate **activities with operations team in the warehouse, always aiming for an optimal service for our (internal) customers. Hands-on approach is required. Processes in your scope:
- **Loading and Unloading **activities in the chemical warehouse
- **Sampling **activities for inbound orders and EAS
- **Pick and pack **of commercial and non-commercial orders
- Management of **external inventory**
- On a daily basis, **communicate **with (internal) customers, freight forwarders, transportation companies, external warehouses, transportation control tower, Customs Authorities, Chamber of Commerce;
- Take ownership of (improvement) **projects **in your area of responsibility;
- Accurately **prepare transport and customs documents **for inbound and outbound shipments: CMR, Invoices, Packing lists, EX and IM documents, dangerous goods declarations,
- **Support and back up **your colleagues in the team;
- Actively support **TIER communication **process in our area;
- Continuously **question processes **and **optimize **where possible. You embrace the question ‘Why?’
**Qualifications**:
**Education**:
- Bachelor degree required
**Experience and skills**:
**Required**:
- Experience in logistics (includes internships during education);
- Proficient in Dutch and English language, both spoken and written;
- Knowledge of Dangerous Goods Regulations: ADR - IATA - IMDG;
**Preferred**:
- Experience in managing and implementing (improvement) projects;
- SAP and/or MES user in previous employment;
- Knowledge of Customs processes Import and Export;
- Experience with Customs software: Descartes and/or Stream;
- Knowledge of healthcare and/or logistics industry / logistics service providers;
- Familiar with GXP regulations.
**Other**:
- Knowledge of LEAN principles;
- Self-motivated with capability of working independently and taking ownership of deliverables;
- Display ‘Can Do’ mentality and positive mindset;
- Growth mindset, both in the work setting as in your personal development;
- Capable to facilitate discussions and workshops;
- Analytical and data management skills.
