We are looking for a qualified and highly motivated individual to support the activities of the Association on trade policy dossiers.

Freshfel Europe, the European Fresh Produce Association, is the forum for the fresh fruit and vegetable supply chain in Europe and beyond. It is the single representative association of the sector at the EU level. Freshfel Europe ensures a diverse and sustainable European fruit and vegetable sector. The Association also secures a robust and positive EU regulatory environment for fresh produce and is highly active across all aspects of the whole supply chain.

**Task**:

- Monitoring of the EU regulatory environment for trade with a specific focus on fruit and vegetable trade.
- Preparation of position papers and communications illustrating the fresh produce position to policy topics of relevance.
- Preparation of webinars and meetings, including drafting of preparatory documents, liaising with member companies and associations, ensuring follow-up meetings and actions, etc.
- Advising and supporting Freshfel members in EU trade-related policy fields.
- Regular liaison with the European Institutions.
- Supporting the organisation's communication strategy and outreach.

**Experience**:

- Academic background in economics, political science, trade law, PR, or communications.
- 1-2 years of work experience in EU Regulatory Affairs or similar topics.
- Proven understanding of European and multilateral trade policies.
- Thorough understanding of the European decision-making system and related international organisations.

**Competences**:

- Genuine interest in the food industry.
- Fluent in English. Additional EU languages would be an asset, especially Spanish, French or German.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multicultural teams.
- Ability to multi-task, well organised and detail oriented.
- Network oriented.
- Ability to work in a small team.
- Strong verbal and written communicator.
- Very strong IT skills: PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

**Key features**:

- The job requires occasional travelling to events relevant to the European fresh fruit trade industry.
