The Global Payroll and Benefits Manager is part of the People & Culture (P&C) Team reporting into the Global Rewards and HR Data Manager. The Global Payroll and Benefits Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing payroll and benefits across 17 countries and 3 regions (US, APAC, EMEA) and is leading a team of 5 payroll and benefits specialists.

The primary focus will be on ensuring accurate and compliant payroll and benefits processing by the payroll and benefits team, maintaining payroll data integrity, and coordinating with internal teams and external vendors. The secondary focus will be on streamlining payroll operations, implementing global payroll solutions, and ensuring compliance with local regulations across multiple countries. This role requires a combination of deep payroll expertise, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and manage end-to-end payroll and benefits processing for multiple countries and regions, overseeing a team of payroll and benefits specialists and acting as a back-up whenever needed.
- Participate in the design and administration of employee benefits programs, together with the Global Rewards and HR Data Manager.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, and statutory contributions.
- Stay updated with global payroll regulations, tax and employment laws, and compliance requirements for each jurisdiction.
- Collaborate with local payroll teams, external payroll service providers, and P&C colleagues to ensure seamless payroll delivery.
- Manage payroll and HRIS data integrity and maintain employee records in compliance with data protection regulations.
- Develop and implement payroll policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data security.
- Coordinate year-end payroll processes, including tax reporting, annual statements, and compliance filings for each country.
- Implement payroll system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct periodic payroll audits to ensure data accuracy, identify discrepancies, and resolve any payroll-related issues.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in global payroll management.
- Provide guidance and support to P&C and finance regarding payroll processes, benefits, compliance, and reporting.
- Develop and implement global payroll policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Develop and deliver payroll training programs to ensure awareness and understanding of payroll policies and procedures.
- Lead and manage the team of payroll professionals, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and career development opportunities.
- Partner with P&C and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and reporting.
- Lead the transformation of global payroll processes and systems, driving efficiency, standardization, and automation across multiple countries.

- Assess current payroll processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices and streamlined workflows.
- Assess and recommend time collection systems for specialized jurisdiction and project requirements (for example, when timesheets are required).
- Responsible for consolidating multiple legal entities into a single entity, ensuring seamless payroll and benefits administration integration throughout the process.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in economics, human resources, law or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience managing global payroll and benefits in a multinational organization is preferred.
- Proficiency in managing end-to-end payroll processes and implementing payroll system solutions.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and their relationships with payroll systems.
- In-depth knowledge of global payroll regulations and compliance requirements for various jurisdictions.
- Strong understanding of statutory deductions, tax rates, social security requirements, and benefits regulations in different countries.
- Multi-national experience will be advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex payroll calculations and reconciliations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to oversee multiple payrolls and deadlines.
