The Project Engineer ensures execution of all projects in time, budget and scope, keeping in mind legal obligations, AL standards, quality and best practices.

Depending of the type of project the project engineer can have the role of project leader or project manager. As project manager he/she will focus on costs, communication and lead time.

The Project Engineer ensures the implementation of the environmental legislation, works in line with the ISO 14001 standard, respects the good environmental practices and shows a positive attitude with regard to the preservation of the environment

**How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?**

**1. Project Scope & definition**:

- verifies if IMS documents are provided by Sales (Action request, PRI, Clear Scope, Design Basis,...)
- freezes design basis
- defines total cost of ownership, Sales Rep uses this to obtain budget
- provides PRA validated by IRMR and Risk assesment plan (vertaling van Risico beheersplan) if necessary
- is the central contact point different identities such as ALTEC, CIE

**2. Study & design**:

- reviews contract and design basis with Sales rep, resulting in technical offers
- Prepares procurement specifications according to IM-04-P-002 (procedure not valid anymore in AODocs)
- follows up & evaluates riks assesment plan
- integrates and validates integration of installation
- obtains validation from Design Authority or uses validated standard designs
- defines interface for utilities and process of customer
- identifies EIS with IRMR (ST-SHE-013)
- provides specific technical details to Sales rep and Asset Management for reservation of assets (Vessels, Heaters, Mixers and other invested equipment)

**3. Realization installation**:

- negotiates and respects deadline customer as much as possible
- puts project into execution when budget has been released
- obtaines needed legal permits
- orders and receives necessary parts
- prepares construction meeting specifics with IRMR if needed
- construct installation with internal AL people or external parties
- Project review in case of change of scope, inform the stakeholders, ask additional budget if needed.

**4. Start up & handover**:

- supervises start up or delegates to competent parties (see A.00.IM-02-I-011-T) with facility manager and SHE responsable, including testing of the presure systems
- completes technical files and hands them over to operations
- closes project for billing
- provides feedback on projects with Sales Rep
- provides necessary information to maintenance teams for implementation maintenance plans on invested equipment
- determines working budget for continious maintenance purposes
- communications completion of investment orders to accounting / investment control to allow proper and timely activation of purchased assets

**5. During Project**:

- Provides billing information
- organizes necesary meetings
- handles internal and external communication
- follows up planning and budget
- Reports anomalies

**6. After Transfer**:

- remains available for improvements
- ensures guarantees
- provides support in case of malfunction to operational teams

**Are you a MATCH?
Min. bachelor in mechanics or industrial field.

Good knowledge of English

**Knowledge and Knowhow specific to the job**
- Strong knowledge of engineering & project methodologies
- Technical understanding of gas physical and production processes
- Strong understanding of Safety procedures
