What the job is about
In this role as a financial controller, you will be part of our growing finance department with international scope.
As a financial controller you will be responsible for multiple key aspects and in contact with different stakeholders throughout the organization.
Financial reporting & Analysis
You are responsible to prepare and analyze financial statements for the group and its local subsidiaries, this includes:
Monthly closing and financial reporting
Analysis of the budget
Cashflow and tax reporting
FX reporting and management
You will furthermore implement and maintain financial controls, processes and reporting systems. You are the business partner in case of questions about financial data, making sure financial data is processed in a uniform and efficient way. You make sure that this data is presented in the right, performant and structured format.
You provide insights into financial performance and trends, in close cooperation with the team of business controllers.
Consolidation
As you are responsible for group consolidation, you will lead the consolidation process for the group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. In order to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency, you will work closely with the finance team.
As you are the SPOC (single point of contact) for auditors of Sofico's consolidated statements, you will conduct periodic reviews to identify potential financial risks and opportunities.
Budgeting and Forecasting
In collaboration with the finance team you play a key role in the budgeting and forecasting process. Together you develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Follow-up, monitoring actual performance and providing variance analysis of budgets will play a key part in this role.
In this way, you play a key role in long term financial planning and scenario analysis.
Your interests and skills
You can look back on at least 3-5 years of relevant controlling experience, preferably in an international environment, experience in the services/software industry is a plus.
Because you are hands-on, you know how to tackle things and would like to grow in the rapidly evolving, international Sofico story.
**Thanks to your experience, you also have**:
An analytic mindset with excellent communication skills.
An eye for structural process improvements and are able to realize them.
Strong knowledge of Excel and get acquainted quickly with different reporting tools. Experience with Power BI, LucaNet and/or Exact is a big plus.
As we are an international company, you are capable of explaining reports in English. Knowledge of any other languages is a plus.
