Our molecules and materials are used in every industry, from agriculture to construction, food and beverages, energy, health care and medicines, machinery, têxtiles, hospitals and transportation. The European Union’s chemical sector employs 1.2 million highly qualified people directly in 28,000 companies. The chemical sector supports around 19 million jobs across all supply chains. It generates more than €540 billion a year in sales and €170 billion in European value added. Cefic’s 670 members and affiliates form one of the most active networks of the business community, complemented by partnerships with industry associations representing various sectors in the value chain.
To reinforce the Sustainability team, Cefic is looking for a (M/F/d):
**Sustainability Intern**
**Purpose**:
The Sustainability team has the ambition to increase the level of activity in the field of Sustainability Assessments and Standards developments, for a variety of projects (sectoral guidance for decarbonisation approaches, iC2050 modelling, GHG protocol review,) and we are looking for a motivated intern that will help the team realise this ambition.
**Are you inspired by these responsibilities?**
Under the supervision of a Cefic manager, the intern will
- Analyse interim reports and share key messages and requests for further feedback with the Cefic members,
- Be tasked with organising workshops covering different areas of sustainability,
- Have a coordinating role to deliver the yearly Cefic Sustainability Progress report.
**Can you make the difference?**
- Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Sustainability or another relevant fields.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - a positive approach with a self-learning attitude and ability to show team spirit.
- Ability to work autonomously and be proactive.
- Excellent research, analytical and writing skills.
- Organizational skills, experience with stakeholder management is a plus.
- A curious personality, keen to learn and improve continuously.
- Full professional proficiency in English and at least one other European language; additional languages are a definite asset.
- Willing to work from Brussels (Belgium).
