Junior Advocacy Coordinator

SEMI Europe has an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or Masters student with passion for European digital technology, industrial policy and governance. As Junior Advocacy Coordinator you will be responsible for the support of day-to-day activities of SEMI Europe’s Public Policy and Advocacy team in Brussels. You will work closely with our public policy management team, supporting the development of position papers, advocacy campaigns as well as track, and report on industry-related legislative developments in the EU and globally.
**Expected internship start date: around September 2023.**
**Core Responsibilities**:
- Research, monitor and analyze key EU regulatory (and global) developments and topics related to the microelectronics industry (e.g., policies focused on chips, industrial policy, raw materials);
- Develop and maintain global and European policy and advocacy products (e.g., newsletter, policy briefs, distribution lists);
- Contribute to the development of position papers, advocacy briefings and presentations for EU stakeholders and SEMI global membership;
- Support the development of advocacy campaigns and stakeholder engagement strategies;
- Support the organization of events and meetings with EU and other external stakeholders;
- Support industry outreach activities;
- Other general support to SEMI Europe team (e.g., preparation of presentations).

**Requirements and Key Competences**:
- Recent graduate or Masters student
- preferably in the field of international relations, EU affairs, public policy, political science, communications, or similar;
- Available to work in Brussels for at least 6 months;
- Keen (preferably demonstrated) interest into technology, innovation and digital single market;
- Knowledge of European institutions and understanding of EU decision-making procedures;
- Excellent oral and written communication in English; knowledge of other languages is welcomed;
- Prior (volunteering & other) experience in a related field is an asset;
- Additional certifications or specialization diplomas considered an advantage.
