The Bid Manager will be part of the DoC ITO European team.
This is a remote role.
You must be based in, and eligible to work in, Europe.
**What does the day-today look like?**
The Bid Manager is accountable for managing a portfolio of opportunities from qualification through to contract award, including value proposition, strategy development, solution development, commercial considerations, partner identification and risk management.
- Work with the Sales team to develop a strategy.
- Build the plan and ensure resources are allocated from support functions.
- Ensure alignment and adherence of the broader team to the strategy.
- Review specifications and documentation to understand the project requirements and assess against the strategy.
- Take overall responsibility for the creation of the proposal and any other supporting documentation. Consolidate and review.
- Be accountable for submission in time
- Drive the team through the negotiation steps with customer until contract signature and hand over to the execution team.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team to develop solid and competitive proposals
- Manage the budget, drive smart cost optimization and overall competitiveness
- Work with the Contracts Team on negotiation support
- Ensure all proposal records are completed and updated
**Qualifications** What skills and background will you likely have?**
- Masters degree in engineering
- Bid/Proposal Management experience in international industrial and municipal B2B transactions with a heavy technology or services component.
- Knowledge of the water and waste water industry and its relevant technologies
- Fluent in English (oral and written) - able to present complex cases with ease in English
- Availability to travel on business as required
- Great communicator.
- Good business acumen and presence
- At ease with matrix environments
- Proactive, action oriented and used to working against financial targets
