To strengthen our** Gene Therapy Formulation Development** department, based in our hub in **Braine-l’Alleud** (Belgium), we are looking for a talented **Gene Therapy Formulation Development Scientist** to join us.

**About the role**

As a GT Formulation Development Scientist, you will be responsible for the hands-on support and selection of formulations allowing the recombinant adeno-associated virus (rAAV) gene therapy products to move forward from preclinical, clinical and commercial stages.

**Who you’ll work with**:
You will be part of an ambitious organization with a promising biopharma products pipeline. You will report to the Biological Formulation Development organization and integrate a great team of 15 people who share a collaborative spirit.

**What you’ll do**:

- Preparing formulations of rAAV GT product for stability studies and collecting experimental data following established analytical methods.
- Writing accurate and precise experiment write-ups, for all lab activities following Good Scientific Practices.
- Helping to generate study protocols and reports to justify the selection of preferred rAAV GT formulations.

**I**nterested? For this role we’re looking for the following **education, experience **and **skills**:

- Pharmaceutical technology, Biotechnology, Biology or Analytical (bio)chemistry degrees.
- Min. 2 years of industrial experience with experience in protein analysis and/or formulation techniques, ideally with rAAV or other viral vector molecules.
- Practical laboratory skills with buffer preparation, HPLC/UPLC (especially size exclusion), SVP (Imaging flow cytometry), UV/Vis spectroscopy, DLS, DSF, rheology, etc.
- Experience in writing accurate and precise experiment write-ups.
- A working knowledge and practical laboratory experience of rAAV and their formulation would be a plus.
- Experience with data analysis and interpretation, protocols and summary report writing would be nice to have.
- Technical English is mandatory.
