Summarized Purpose:
The Facilities Coordinator supports the Global Central Labs office in Zaventem in the delivery of Facilities service throughout the site.
Essential Functions:
- Performs reception duties, including but not limited to: registering of visitors and contractors, mail sorting and distribution, reception calendar management, shipment receiving, conference room set-up, management of all visitors passes, keys and car parking.
- Performs general facility support tasks such as: daily building checks, building security and access control, printer management, stationary management, stock management, contract management and waste management.
- Plans and supports building and equipment maintenance as per business needs, including the completion of scheduled routine maintenance, preventative maintenance and ad hoc repairs. Supervises contractors.
- Liaises with suppliers, contractors, local management and Facilities management on daily basis.
- Responds to facility-related emergencies as assigned.
- Presence in the office will be required from Monday to Friday. Occasional outside of hours work is possible to respond to facility-related emergencies.
Education and Experience:
High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Consistently positive attitude, excellent team player.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Highly organized, able to work to tight deadlines, to prioritize workload and to utilize time efficiently to maximize the number of tasks completed.
- Flexible, stress-resistant, able to multitask.
- Language skills: good spoken and written knowledge of Dutch and English is required for the role. French is a plus.
- Solid computer proficiency.
