For a rapidly **growing & dynamic biotech company**, we are looking for a **Junior General Ledger Accountant** to join the finance team of the Belgium-based Headquarters in Ghent.

You will report to the Accounting Manager.

**Your main tasks will be**:

- Timely and accurate execution of your closing tasks in the monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting closing process;
- Review and capitalisation of all tangible and intangible fixed assets;
- Review and approval of vendor master data changes;
- Review, reconciliation and follow up of expense notes & incoming payments;
- Execution of GL reconciliations and SOX controls;
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders;
- Assist colleagues with accounting-related questions;
- Execute ad hoc tasks and analysis.

**Profile**
- Advanced degree in Accounting/Economics;
- 1 to 3 years of working experience in accounting;
- Experience within the biotech or pharma industry is a plus;
- Experience in working with an ERP system is a nice-to-have;
- Collaborative work style;
- Accurate, organised, analytical, communicative and able to work autonomously.;
- Ability to comply with internal procedures and documentation requirements;
- Basic knowledge of IFRS principles;
- You excel in a fast-paced, results-driven, highly accountable environment;
- You have a "rolling up your sleeves" mentality to get things done.
