**Purpose of employment**
The Project Manager oversees all aspects of the project using planning, monitoring and controlling processes. He is responsible for co-ordination and completion of the project and to this end will perform a variety of tasks including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress of the project. He may be responsible for more than one project at a time.

**Missions and responsibilities**
Manage multiple projects following the KIE Capital Investment Project Management process through its different phases and gate reviews:
- _Develop_, plan, coordinate and direct the execution of all phases of a project from concept to completion and customer acceptance.
- _Analyzes _various options for all phases of project execution, cost savings, schedules improvement and establishes a project implementation plan.
- _Supervise _all engineering, planning, control, procurement, and construction personnel activities in a matrix organization to accomplish project objectives.
- _Interact _with the Technology Engineering team for machines and equipment design and procurement.
- _Build _a team and manage locally project permitting, site preparations, civil constructions, and utilities preparations.
- _Motivates _project team member and works with the project team members to ensure adequate and timely work to accomplish objectives.
- _Manages _project changes to minimize cost, timing and performance impacts, and obtains management approval of changes when required.
- _Resolves _issues and coordinates activities by serving as the focal point between the customers, project team, and contractors.
- _Negotiates _issues with contractors/suppliers to the best interest of the project including plants rules.
- _Delivers _the objectives of the project on time, within budget tolerance, and meeting the fitness for use.
- _Prepares _scopes and estimates with options/alternatives as appropriate to allow the customer to make appropriate business decisions and obtain appropriation approval.
- _Communicates _well through periodic reports and reviews with the project team, engineering management, and the customer.
- _Follows _up after construction by ascertaining that the health, safety and environmental group procedure and local rules are well implemented and respected.
**Qualifications and experience required**
- Experience managing mechanical main equipment design and production projects.
- Experience managing permitting and civil construction projects is an asset but not a requirement.
- Knowledge of project management software, techniques and presentation methods.
- Mechanical systems as conveyors, gearboxes, saws, pumps, belts, packaging equipment)
- Machine control (PLC, control systems)
- Basic techno/economic analysis.
- Instrumentation basic knowledge
**Required skills**
- University degree /industrial engineer level (“**polyvalent**” education: mechanic, electricity, physics, civil )
- He should be as comfortable with the theory as he is with the practice.( at least 5 years’ experience in **industrial **environment**)
- Proficient in leading, training, and facilitating teams
- Computer literate and have sufficient statistical skills to be able to design experiments, analyze data, graph results, etc.
- English language (French, Dutch, German or other is a plus)
- Willing to pass period’s abroad (**50% of the working time**, on yearly basis) with periods up to 8 weeks in a row.
- **Professionalism, independent **and organized thinking, tenacity, ability to **manage **and account for the details without getting lost in them, proactive "get it done" attitude.
