Media Planner/paid Media Expert

ICF Next creates and implements communication campaigns and services for European institutions. We ensure that the messages of the key EU policies reach the citizens and stakeholders.
We are looking for media planners to reinforce our pool of experts in media buying. You will be tasked with growing our service offering to clients and managing the performance and development of paid media activities in collaboration with media buying agencies for EU wide projects run on behalf of the EU institutions.
You would be responsible for:
- Developing media strategy in collaboration with the strategy team of the agency and media buying agencies;
- Defining appropriate media channels project initiation stage;
- Ensuring strategic integration of paid channels into the paid/earned/shared and owned channels strategy of projects;
- Checking media plan of media buying agencies to achieve project objectives within the allocated budget;
- Maintaining rapport with media publishers and sound relations with media agencies;
- Identifying potential new media partners;
- Keeping abreast of industry standards, new technologies and the latest media approaches;
- Ensuring proper briefing to production teams on assets;
- Ensuring paid media campaigns are executed in a timely manner;
- Based on media agencies and media partners reports, improving and presenting campaign reports to clients and senior management;
- Overseeing implementation of dashboard for reporting;
You would need the following competences/skills:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as media planner (mostly digital);- Proven experience in producing media plans and forecast;- Fluent in English (written and verbal). Any other language will be considered an asset;- Strong team player;- Highly organised and must be able to multi-task, handling several tasks/projects at one time;- Good presentation skills;- Curiosity and an appetite to work on EU projects are a plus;- Brussels-based preferably but remote working is a possibility;- Possibility to work part-time as employee or freelance.
