**Senior Oracle Database Administrator**

The opportunity

Your day-to-day responsibilities include
- Installing, patching, upgrading and maintaining Oracle, PostgreSQL and MySQL Databases;
- Implementing backup & recovery solutions;
- Implementing High availability with RAC, Disaster Recovery with Goldengate, Data Guard and Master/Slave Replication;
- Facilitating and actively participating in all phases of a project development life cycle, including requirements gathering and analysis, solution design and development, testing and implementation, post-production support (including performance tuning) and evolution;
- Helping customer on benchmark to identify bottlenecks, and provide guidance on tuning and optimization of the Databases;
- writing accurate and concise technical documentation
**Skills we can't do without**
- Ability to work and communicate in an international and multi-cultural environment;
- Strong interest in supporting and maintaining complex, mission-critical and highly secure databases;
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle RAC Database (12c/19c) and data replication solutions coupled with a minimum of 5 years of production support experience;
- Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL language;
- Basic knowledge of shell scripting on Unix-like operating systems
- Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities;
- High degree of initiative, accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail;
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude under stressful circumstances;
- Professional approach when dealing with internal and external customers, including clear and concise written and verbal communication skills;
- Fluent in English
**Availability**
- Sometimes work outside office hours (incl. weekends) for planned interventions
- Participation in the weekly-rotating 24x7 on-call DBA service (performed by a team consisting of minimum 4 DBAs, includes extra monetary compensation)
- Working hours are determined after consultation with the line manager
