Data Steward

6 months extendable mission at either Bornem or Mechelen.
Language Requirement: Dutch and English.
Homework: 2 Days a Week.
The tasks of a data steward are as follows:
- Logical data models
- You create and manage logical data models
- You validate changes made by others
- You ensure the alignment between the different logical data models
- You guide the software analysts in creating logical data models within their projects.
- Incidents
- You take care of incident handling regarding ETL and data quality issues
- With the aim of improving our data, you make proposals for optimization based on incidents. Where necessary, you escalate to increase the sense of urgency.
- Data landscape
- You have a thorough knowledge of the RPCG and Salacious data landscape
- You have a good knowledge of GDPR, and ensure that it is acted upon
- You define new data requirements, based on information requirements.
- Data governance
- You link business terms to data elements in the information catalogue
- You manage the permanent documentation of data elements. You ensure that documentation of New data elements are delivered by the developers. Where necessary, you complete documentation of existing legacy systems and encourage others to do the same.
- You actively participate in the roll-out of the data governance plan
- You bring ideas to improve data governance. You make these ideas concrete and
ensures implementation in consultation with the information steward and the specialist Centre.
- Projects
- You have a good idea of the ongoing projects and you are able to assess the impact of these projects.

- You build and maintain your information network. You know which roles to approach in order to
to obtain answers to questions.
- You are a point of contact within RPCG and Solucious with regard to data issues
- You work very closely with the information steward and with the coordinator for Reporting
