Context
The Operational Control Analyst implements, maintains and drives controls within an appropriate risk framework to ensure a high level of quality and efficiency in all operational process flows in order to contribute to client satisfaction, covering BDP Belgium and Luxembourg.
Your Position
In collaboration with the other 2nd & 3rd lines of defense: drive awareness of operational risk issues among Operations teams through dedicated action plans.
- Ensure risks, controls and incidents collection in a structured way;
- Analyze collected data in collaboration with operational team leaders to design appropriate action plans aiming at decreasing residual risks and improving processes and/or IT tools;
- Participate to defined action plans implementation, to operational projects, and ensure alignment to the Target Operating Model and to the Bank’s expectations in terms of risk management;
- Contribute to BDP Belgium and BDP Luxembourg processes alignments, especially in terms of risk framework;
- Drive controls within Operations, follow up action plans and deadlines, report adequately to Management and to the second/third line of control (Risk Management or Compliance and Audit);
- Be a facilitator for all operational teams, by contributing to foster a risk culture within Operations through a set of dedicated actions (continuous improvement, solution to enhance efficiency, risk indicators implementation and follow-up, trainings, support to team leaders, awareness sessions ).
Your Profile
- Master or Bachelor with equivalent experience
- Required experience : minimum 5 years
- Experience in operational excellence / process optimization
- Good knowledge in most of the following fields is an asset (Settlement; Securities transfers; Payments; Corporate actions and income processing; Securities Master File and pricing; Reconciliation)
- Banking environment and regulation, incl. investment funds.
- Good command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong project and change management skills.
- Risk awareness, good exposure to operational risk tools and methodology.
- French, Dutch, English
