We are looking for a new, enthusiastic colleague in our Barcelona office to consolidate and further develop our owners engineering activities.
You will be a part of our **Owner's Engineering team** which is composed of 10 renewable energy experts in different countries and for project activities you will report to the team manager, who is based in Brussels. You’ll also get the chance to work closely together with our Spanish team of experts, where the regional manager is available for support. Your main responsibility will be to act as **project manager and senior consultant in large scale PV projects** (local and international), advising 3E's clients on all technical aspects of their renewable energy project: the **engineering design phase, procurement, construction and operational phase** where you will also coordinate activities of potential subcontractors and distribute tasks within the Owner’s Engineering team at 3E.
As a project and construction manager you are responsible for the **communication with your client, potential other stakeholders and your colleagues, for managing the budget and planning of the project and for its timely and qualitative delivery**. Among your daily activities will be:
- Detailed Engineering for PV plants (execution and revision)
- Review of overall project design, technology, and suggest potential improvements
- Construction monitoring
- Coordination of activities of multidisciplinary experts
- Subcontractor management and construction milestones validation
- Organization of regular meetings with project stakeholders
- Project management and overall budget control
We are looking for someone focused and very organised, with a natural leadership and open to travel regularly for short or midterm periods to project sites or 3E international offices. Dedicated to problem solving and with a strong work ethic, you also have abilities for conflict resolution with innovative thinking.
Of course, there are some **non-negotiables**:
- You have a graduate degree in **electrical engineering** or equivalent through experience. An electrical or civil background would be a big asset.
- You are fluent in **English**, spoken as well as written
- You have 5 - 8 years of **experience** in Renewable Energy project engineering (mainly solar PV) in an international context
- You are experienced in construction supervision of **multi-MW** scale solar projects
- You have the mindset of a **consultant**: you are client-oriented, dynamic and a quick learner.
- you are comfortable working with **MS Project, AutoCAD, Excel**:
- You are **willing to travel** for regular site visits in Iberica to follow up on construction activities
Bonus points for:
- Technologies: High Voltage systems
- Software: ETAP, DIGSilent
- Languages: French, Portuguese
- Knowledge of wind farm engineering
