**About the project**:
**NetZeroCities (NZC) **is an initiative launched as part of the European Green Deal and directly supporting the European Commission’s _Mission for 100 Climate-neutral and Smart Cities_ _by 2030_. NZC is being implemented by a 33-member consortium comprising diverse partners from across Europe. We offer cities expertise, tools, capacity building and knowledge sharing, and innovative approaches to systemic change via the Mission Platform.

The Mission Platform combines city support teams, including City Advisors, the focal contact point, and thematic specialists on systems innovation, finance, citizen engagement, social innovation, and technical solutions. This is accompanied by a digital Portal hosting resources, tools and data on city climate transition, and a social network and online groups to support peer-to-peer collaboration. We have over 3000 registered Portal users, including staff from cities, the NetZeroCities consortium and partnering organisations at European and local level.

We currently support 112 Mission Cities who aim to become climate neutral by 2030.

During 2024 we will open the Mission Platform to all European cities who aim to become climate neutrality by at least 2050, building on lessons learned from working with 112 Mission Cities.

**Responsibilities**:
The Climate-Neutral Cities Online Support Coordinator will enable effective and consistent management of external enquiries and proactive support to portal users across all NetZeroCities communications channels. The role will support the expansion of the Mission Platform, and you will play a crucial role in liaising and working internally with various teams from within the Consortium to coordinate the development of services for Non-Mission Cities, and in promoting and communicating these services to them on different online platforms. In this role you will:

- Work in a Helpdesk team to ensure consistent and effective responses to enquiries received across all NetZeroCities communications channels, both from non-Mission city users, and the wide range of other organisations and individuals seeking to engage with the project.
- Liaise with multiple teams, including content creators for our online Capability Building programme, facilitators for our online peer learning groups and our technical support teams, ensuring that cities are directed to the resources, support and online communities which are most appropriate for their needs.
- Work with all partners to design the service levels for non-Mission cities and the systems and guidance to ensure clear and consistent implementation across the consortium.
- Work with the NZC Portal team to ensure that the services to Non-Mission Cities are well-integrated, easily accessible, and address the needs raised by city users.
- Work with the NZC Communications team to raise awareness of the services available to non-Mission cities and encourage use of the available support.
- Work with the NZC External Partnerships team to coordinate support services and tools with other initiatives and organisations to provide an integrated service for cities.
- Conduct regular user satisfaction surveys and present formal reports on findings to support service improvement across the NetZeroCities project.
- Attend and report to regular Portal, Communications and Operations teams meetings.

**Profile**:
With a passion for cities and sustainability, and a commitment to making positive change happen, you will have high-level experience of communications/relationship management with service users or clients. Examples of previous relevant experience could include Membership Network management, Digital Communications Officer, Project Officer/Manager, Customer Account management, Call Centre management, or Personal Assistant to Chief Executive.

The skills and experience to do this job successfully include:

- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- A strong understanding of climate transition, particularly the cross-cutting and sectoral issues cities are addressing to become climate neutral
- A good understanding of how cities and city administrations function
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in any field relevant to the role
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Excellent IT skills (including MS Office, Teams, Zoom, Miro, social media & CRM platforms)
- A self-starter who is confident in managing their own workload and thrives in an online work environment
